BARTHOLOMEW: Buried Signals | Sounds of the Underground

Buried Signals is a site-specific performance from Bartholomew — a Newcastle-based composer and electronic musician known for his emotionally charged, genre-blurring music. Combining cello, voice, and live electronics with poetic autobiography, Buried Signals weaves intimate storytelling into a rich sonic tapestry. Set within a carefully chosen space that informs and shapes the work, the performance invites audiences into a deeply personal world, where memory, identity, and environment intertwine.

Through subtle layering of sound and narrative, Bartholomew explores the tension between vulnerability and resilience, using technology as a bridge to emotional honesty. This is a unique performance tailor made for the atmospheric space of the Victoria tunnels.
